The Associated Press (as printed in the Tucson Daily Citizen in Arizona on August 5, 1966) reported, "Radio Requete, in Pamplona, said it would play no more of the quartet's music until Lennon withdrew his remarks."

A dispatch from United Press International (as printed in the Deseret News in Salt Lake City, UT, on August 8, 1966), added, "A movie house here [in Pamplona] joined three radio stations Sunday in this city's boycott of the Beatles. The Carlos III theater canceled the film 'Help,' starring the Liverpool group, because of 'anti-religious statements' made by Jack [sic] Lennon, the Spanish news agency said."
