WFLB possibly banned The Beatles.
Evidence of the Ban:
The High Point Enterprise on August 4, 1966, reported "Stations in North Carolina which have announced the ban are WPET in Greensboro, WBBB in Burlington, WVCB in Shallotte, WRKB in Kannapolis, WTYN in Tryon, WRNB in New Bern, WFLB in Fayetteville and WYNA in Raleigh."
There is dispute over WFLB's ban, however. An Associated Press article carried in The Durham Morning Herald on August 4, 1966, stated, "Radio station WFLB at Fayetteville also said it planned to continue playing Beatles records despite the remarks."
