The Dayton Daily News reported on August 10, 1966, "A Columbus friend tells me that WCOL, sister station of WING, clamped a ban on the Beatles' discs 'in the best interests of the public." Also, the Associated Press (as printed in The Spartanburg Herald on August 17, 1966) reported, "A crowd of teen-age Beatle-buffs picketed station WCOL in Columbus, Ohio, with a sign proclaiming 'Jesus had long hair, too.'"

This station is apparently defunct.
