WABG banned The Beatles!

Evidence of the Ban:

The Associated Press (as printed in The Clarion-Ledger in Jackson, MS, on August 5, 1966) reported, "Mississippi radio stations in the anti-Beatles movement are WRBC and WWUN of Jackson, WKCU of Corinth, WBAL of Meridian and WABG, and WLEF of Greenwood."

The Greenwood Commonwealth in Mississippi on August 4, 1966, reported, "Station WABG manager Lane Tucker said the station will ban the Beatle records from henceforth. Tucker said the statement made by the Beatles was 'extremely adolescent with no thought. It may have been a gimmick planned by the Beatles for publicity, but this well may be the one gimmick that will backfire.'"
