Nearly two week later, the AP updated the story (as printed in The Spartanburg Herald on August 17, 1966), "KTEE in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and WABC, New York City, said they had lifted the ban in view of Lennon's apology for his remark that the Beatles were 'more popular that Jesus.'"
